Meditate & Stretch is a monthly in-person experience designed to help you do more than just manage stress—it helps you actually release it.

Held every third Thursday from 6:00–7:30 PM at Danvers Wellness Center in Danvers, MA, this restorative class blends guided meditation with gentle somatic movement to support your mind, body, and nervous system in working together to heal.

It’s an ideal practice for those in the North Shore, MA area who are looking to:

  • Improve body awareness and relaxation

Why Pair Meditation with Somatic Movement?

Meditation is a powerful tool—it helps us pause, breathe, and gain perspective. But without movement, it can sometimes act like a spiritual “snooze button,” temporarily quieting the stress without resolving the root of it.

That’s because stress isn’t just in our minds. It’s held in our muscles, fascia, posture, and breath. If we want to truly release it, we have to go beyond stillness.

Somatic movement gently guides the body through intentional, mindful motion—unlocking patterns of tension and stored emotion that can’t be accessed through meditation alone.

What to Expect in a Meditate & Stretch Class

Each 90-minute workshop includes:

  • Grounding meditation to help you land in the present moment

  • A peaceful, supportive environment that meets you exactly where you are

This is not a yoga class, and there is no flexibility or experience required. Every movement can be modified, and every participant is encouraged to move at their own pace.
