Fear and Surrendering to It — How Men Are Afraid to Show Their Feelings
Fear and Surrendering to It — How Men Are Afraid to Show Their Feelings
Fear. It’s one of the most primal emotions we experience, yet it’s the one most men have been conditioned to hide.
From a young age, boys are taught that fear is weakness, that tears are shameful, and that vulnerability makes you soft.
“Be a man,” they’re told.
“Suck it up.”
“Don’t cry.”
These phrases, often spoken with good intention, lay the foundation for emotional suppression that runs deep into adulthood. But what if the real strength lies not in resisting fear, but in surrendering to it?
Surrender doesn’t mean giving up. It means letting go of the tight grip that control has on our hearts. It means allowing yourself to feel the weight of your emotions rather than shoving them down until they explode.
The truth is, most men are afraid—but not of failure, not of danger, not even of rejection.
Nervous system regulation & healing! Danvers Ma Men’s Coach
Nervous System Regulation & the Depth of Holistic Healing Trauma isn’t just a story we carry in our minds—it’s something our bodies hold onto, often for years. As a healer, I had already spent several years working through fear, shame, and guilt—doing the deep inner work, releasing layer after layer.
But what I didn’t realize was how much of it was still embedded in the fabric of my body—stored in my fascia, my muscles, even my organs.
This wasn’t new work—it was deeper work. The kind that forces you to feel everything you thought you already healed. My body had become so constricted that it felt like it was slowly squeezing me to death. I couldn’t hold onto it any longer. Releasing these buried emotions has been a raw, painful, and powerful process.
A trial of letting go over and over again. But it’s also been a path to freedom. Through nervous system regulation and somatic healing, I’ve learned how to finally create space—space to breathe, to feel safe, and to come home to my body in a way I never had before.
This work is a reminder that healing isn’t linear. It’s layered. And every layer matters.
Updating everyone on my healing journey
Updating everyone on my healing journey and how important it was for me to use and start early with holistic modalities. I used breathwork, MFR, Reiki, Shamanic Journeys, Acupuncture, Spinal Flow Energetics with a NO CRACK CHIRO! Going to PT for the Physical. Early on I was lucky to have business partners that do breathwork, MFR and Reiki and Somatic work. They worked on me and it was such a process to get me just to a place of 50% better. Each day was a smidge better and I can't even stress how incredibly lucky I am to have had these people in my corner.

Reframing Anxiety: A New Perspective on Healing
Anxiety is something many of us experience, yet we rarely stop to question how we talk about it. More often than not, we treat it as a flaw, something to be ashamed of or managed quietly. But what if we've been looking at anxiety the wrong way?
Anxiety isn’t a personal failure. It’s not a sign that you’re weak, broken, or incapable. In reality, anxiety is a signal—a message from your body that something needs your attention. The real issue isn’t the anxiety itself, but how we respond to it.
For years, we’ve been taught that the best we can do is cope—deep breathing, mindfulness, or grounding exercises. While these can help in the moment, they often only address the symptoms, not the root cause. True healing requires us to go deeper, to understand what anxiety is trying to tell us, and—most importantly—to stop identifying with it.
